Black Book Research named DeliverHealth to its list of the Top 50 Emerging Healthcare IT Solutions.

The market research company recognized recently funded companies “will have a pivotal impact on tomorrow’s healthcare…and offer innovations that will help shape the future of healthcare.”

The finalists were evaluated by 4,000 healthcare respondents who scored 377 solutions on 18 KPIs.

DeliverHealth was ranked 22nd out of 50 companies in the February report, earning a 9.01 out of 10, which indicates a “highly recommended vendor” that “exceeds expectations” and delivers “overwhelming satisfaction Read the report here.

According to Brian Locastro, Senior Research Manager of Black Book: “All of the solutions offered for evaluation display some innovation that could shape the future of digital technologies, interoperability and enhanced healthcare delivery, but these top-rated 50 notably present structural contributions that are making a pivotal impact on tomorrow’s healthcare technology ecosystem.”

But what does it mean to be innovative in healthcare right now?

And how can we make sure we’re investing in solving for today’s largest problems and obstacles in healthcare — such as coding inefficiencies, poor EHR utilization, and true advancement around digital health?

“It’s important to remember that the next-best dollar isn’t always spent on more technology,” says Michael Clark, CEO of DeliverHealth. “It’s also about taking advantage of the technology you already have, and investing in the people or processes before new technology.”

Clark says that core to DeliverHealth’s mission is to clear the way for the healthcare connections that matter most – between clinicians and technology, providers and patients, and people and their health. “We recognize there’s a better way to solve meaningful, real problems that hospitals and health systems experience daily. The answer is not always ‘more technology.’ We believe the greatest value is unifying the technology you’ve already invested in. We have been quietly building a platform to complement an already significant professional and managed services business.”

The DeliverHealth’s platform connects the company’s software capabilities and a client’s disparate point solutions into a single Azure-secure framework, while also offering a common data architecture and flexible data exchange that allows users to capture data once and use it many times.

From reducing physician burnout to accelerating reimbursement cycles to mobile-first patient engagement, each software capability of the DeliverHealth Platform is purpose-built, and enabled by practical artificial intelligence (AI), to solve for a systemic issue impacting healthcare today while still affording where needed and appropriate, a human in the loop. In the absence of having that human in the loop, Clark says, it’s just a partial solution.

“We try to put technology and service solutions out there that solve for today’s biggest obstacles to care while continuously driving down the cost, so you’re investing in something that is going to be making healthcare better over time — whether in the ambulatory setting or in a large health system.”

Clark is always open to talking to others in healthcare about removing complexities in healthcare with technology and services. “Every executive has four or five problems on their plates,” he says. “ We want to take one or two off and solve it, and earn the right to come back to solve another one,” he says.

For the Black Book report, 4,000 executives, professionals and consultants from healthcare providers, payers, vendors, advisory firms, investment banks and venture capital organizations assessed emerging solutions on their individual ability to contribute to a more integrated, patient-centric, productivity-enhancing HIT ecosystem, and outperform competitors.
